Dr. Cheryl Evelyn Cammock, MD, is the founder of My PediaHeart Care Partner. A wife and mother of three children, she entered medicine driven by her passion for improving the health of her community. She chose pediatric cardiology because the field is both challenging and deeply rewarding. Dr. Cammock values the unique privilege of caring for some of the sickest children and guiding families through complex medical decisions regarding their children’s health.She completed her medical training at MCP/Hahnemann University College of Medicine (now Drexel) in Philadelphia, followed by a Pediatric Medicine residency at S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Cammock then completed a Pediatric Cardiovascular Disease fellowship and Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging training at the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Pediatric Heart Failure/Heart Transplantation fellowship at Washington University St. Louis Children’s Hospital.Dr. Cammock's career includes serving as Pediatric Chief Resident at Downstate Medical Center, Clinical Instructor and Researcher at UCLA Medical Center, and Assistant Professor of Pediatric Cardiology at Wake Forest Baptist Health Brenner Children’s Hospital. She also held dual roles in 2018 at AI Dupont Children’s Hospital as both a Pediatric Cardiovascular Specialist and Pediatric Hospitalist. In recent years, she has focused on building My PediaHeart Care Partner Inc.She has published book chapters and research papers in medical journals and presented her work at regional and international cardiology meetings. Dr. Cammock’s contributions to clinical cardiology and research have earned her multiple honors, including excellence in fellowship research and recognition as a Top Doctor. She is board-certified in both general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology.
